Spin.AI acquired Revyz on April 28, 2026. Revyz remains a native Atlassian Marketplace app, customers keep the same product, and no migration is required. Revyz is now a Spin.AI company, sold separately from Spin.AI's SpinOne platform, which Revyz customers can add if they want the same level of backup, recovery, and security for Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and Slack.

This page answers the questions we hear most often from Revyz customers, partners, and Atlassian admins. For the original news, read the [official acquisition announcement from Spin.AI](https://spin.ai/news/spin-ai-acquires-revyz-atlassian/).

#### The short version

- **Revyz is a Spin.AI company.** Financial terms were not disclosed.
- **Your Revyz product is the same product**, now backed by Spin.AI's resources.
- **No migration is required.** Revyz remains a native app on the Atlassian Marketplace.
- **More coverage is optional.** Revyz customers now have access to complementary Spin.AI solutions, including SpinOne for Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and Slack, SpinCRX for browser security, and DoControl for data access governance.

#### Why Spin.AI acquired Revyz

Jira and Confluence hold the work that runs your business: product roadmaps, service desk history, compliance evidence, asset records, and years of institutional knowledge. Native Atlassian tools offer limited recovery options and were not designed for granular restore, configuration management, or long-term retention. That gap is why Revyz exists.

But Atlassian is rarely the only SaaS platform an organization depends on. The same teams that rely on Jira and Confluence also run on email, file storage, CRM, and chat. Operational resilience means being able to recover all of it quickly, and to see where your security posture is weak before an incident turns into an outage.

[Spin.AI](https://spin.ai/company/about-us/) has spent nearly a decade building that capability for the rest of the SaaS stack. With Revyz now part of Spin.AI, the Atlassian layer now sits alongside Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and Slack under one approach to resilience.

In the [announcement](https://spin.ai/news/spin-ai-acquires-revyz-atlassian/), Dmitry Dontov, Founder and CEO of Spin.AI (and now CEO of Revyz), said:

> "This partnership is about making both platforms stronger and adding value to our customers. … Organizations shouldn't have to choose between innovation, speed, and data protection. Now they don't have to."

#### What this means for Revyz customers

#### What stays the same

Everything you use today keeps working the way it does now. Revyz is still a native app on the Atlassian Marketplace, your backups and configurations stay where they are, and there is nothing to migrate or reinstall. The team that built Revyz is still here, now expanded with Spin.AI resources to build and support the product.

Your Revyz coverage for [Jira](https://www.revyz.io/products/command-center-for-jira) and [Confluence](https://www.revyz.io/products/command-center-for-confluence) continues exactly as before.

#### What you can now add

Revyz customers now have optional access to a broader set of Spin.AI solutions that complement Revyz.

**SpinOne.** Spin.AI's [SpinOne platform](https://spin.ai/platform/spinone/) extends backup and recovery to [Google Workspace](https://spin.ai/platform/google-workspace/), [Microsoft 365](https://spin.ai/platform/microsoft-office-365/), [Salesforce](https://spin.ai/platform/salesforce/), and [Slack](https://spin.ai/platform/slack/).

SpinOne also includes:

- [Ransomware detection and response](https://spin.ai/platform/ransomware-protection/) with automated recovery, for ransomware resilience across your SaaS estate
- [eDiscovery](https://spin.ai/platform/ediscovery/) and [archiving](https://spin.ai/platform/enterprise-archiving-solution/) for legal holds and retention
- [Data leak prevention (DLP)](https://spin.ai/platform/dlp/) to catch risky sharing and exposure
- [SaaS security posture management (SSPM)](https://spin.ai/platform/saas-security-posture-management/) to find and fix misconfigurations and risky third-party apps

**SpinCRX.** Jira and Confluence run in the browser, and so do most of the SaaS apps your teams use every day. Browser extensions with broad permissions can read what is on screen, which makes them a direct path to business-critical data. [SpinCRX](https://spin.ai/platform/enterprise-browser-security/) continuously assesses and risk-scores browser extensions, including AI-enabled extensions, and enforces allow and block policies with automated remediation. It supports Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari, and is available as a standalone solution or as part of SpinOne.

**DoControl.** [DoControl](https://spin.ai/news/spin-ai-acquires-docontrol-saas-ai-security/), acquired by Spin.AI in August 2026, adds automated data access governance and data loss prevention for Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and Slack. See how it fits with the rest of the portfolio below.

None of this is required. If Revyz for Atlassian is all you need, nothing changes. If you want to consolidate vendors across your SaaS estate, the option is now there.

#### For organizations that run Atlassian alongside Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, or Slack

Most teams run their work in Jira and Confluence and their documents, email, customer records, and conversations in Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, or Slack. Until now, covering all of them meant separate vendors with separate approaches to backup, recovery, and access risk. With Revyz and DoControl now part of Spin.AI, Spin.AI covers whichever of these applications you use:

- **Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket resilience:** Revyz provides backup, granular restore, configuration management, and audit log retention.
- **Backup and ransomware resilience for Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and Slack:** SpinOne provides backup and recovery plus ransomware detection and response.
- **SaaS security posture:** [SpinSPM](https://spin.ai/platform/spinspm/) handles configuration management to catch risky changes and misconfigurations, along with access control for third-party OAuth apps and browser extensions. SpinSPM covers Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and Slack as well as Jira and Confluence.
- **Browser security:** [SpinCRX](https://spin.ai/platform/enterprise-browser-security/) controls which browser extensions can run where your teams use all of these apps, including Jira and Confluence.
- **Data access governance:** [DoControl](https://spin.ai/news/spin-ai-acquires-docontrol-saas-ai-security/), acquired by Spin.AI in August 2026, adds additional functionality to [Spin.AI](https://spin.ai/)'s existing DLP solutions… enabling further automated data access governance and data loss prevention for Google Workspace, Microsoft 365.

#### How DoControl complements SpinSPM

SpinSPM and DoControl work at different layers. SpinSPM secures the environment: how your SaaS apps are configured, how data is restored, and which third-party apps and browser extensions can connect to them as well as who and what can access each file or record, how data is shared and moves. DoControl adds additional functionality for [Spin.AI](https://spin.ai/)'s DLP solution, enabling further granularity for automations and detections.

The result is consistent operational resilience and security posture across the applications where your organization's knowledge lives, whether you use one of them or all of them, with one vendor relationship instead of several.

#### New since the acquisition: Revyz for Bitbucket Cloud

On October 1, 2026, Revyz launched [Command Center for Bitbucket](https://www.revyz.io/products/command-center-for-bitbucket), bringing backup and recovery to Bitbucket Cloud workspaces. It covers:

- Repositories with full Git history and Git LFS files
- Pull requests, branch restrictions, and permissions
- Pipelines configuration, environments, and variables
- Deploy keys, webhooks, projects, and runners

Restores are additive-only, so recovery never deletes or overwrites existing code or history. With AI tools writing more code faster, source code is one of the most valuable assets an organization has, and now it sits under the same resilience strategy as Jira and Confluence.

Other milestones since April:

- **A partner-first go-to-market.** Justin Leader joined as Head of Partnerships, Atlassian Ecosystem, and the [Revyz Partner Program](https://www.revyz.io/partners) has been updated with co-selling support for Atlassian Solution Partners.
- **Atlassian Team '26 Europe.** Revyz team participated in Team 26 in Amsterdam, October 6 to 8, 2026.

[DoControl](https://spin.ai/news/spin-ai-acquires-docontrol-saas-ai-security/), acquired by Spin.AI in August 2026, adds automated data access governance for the data inside Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, and Slack. [SpinCRX](https://spin.ai/platform/enterprise-browser-security/) secures the browser where all of these apps, including Jira and Confluence, are used. Each is optional, so you can cover one application or all of them alongside your existing Revyz coverage.
